DAYTON, OHIO, November 21, 2013 – Your Better Business Bureau is warning people about Merchant Services 123, a work-at-home company, offering credit card processing services. An 82-year-old Kettering woman claims to have lost approximately $30,000 to the company. According to the victim, the company’s representative smooth-talked her into signing a contract with the company for a work-at-home job, which resulted in four charges to her credit card for varying amounts ($500, $9,800, $8,200 and $7,200). The victim says she never fully understood what she was getting involved in. In late October, the victim sent a letter to the company requesting to cancel her contract and get her money back.
But, she’s not alone. Merchant Services 123 has had six complaints in the last 12 months filed against it with your BBB regarding advertising and sales issues, problems with product/service, billing and collections issues, delivery issues, guarantee/warranty issues, etc. The company has an F rating with your BBB due to:
According to your BBB, the address the business is using is 18444 25th Ave., Ste. 240, Phoenix, AZ 85023. A Google Maps search found about 20 businesses have also operated from the same address.
