BBB Revokes Accreditation Of Four Local Businesses
DAYTON, OHIO, December 16, 2011 – Your Better Business Bureau has revoked the Accreditation of four local companies for failure to meet your BBB’s Standards For Trust. Your BBB’s board of directors revoked the company’s Accreditation at its November 8th meeting.
The companies are:
GBR Concrete, LLC
One of your BBB’s Standards for Trust is Accredited Businesses need to be responsive, addressing marketplace disputes quickly, professionally and in good faith. GBR Concrete, LLC’s BBB Accreditation was revoked for failure to abide by this standard. It has six unanswered complaints with your BBB. Most of these complaints allege dissatisfaction with product and/or work performed. Customers also express difficulty in reaching the company to express their concerns and disappointment in follow up. Your BBB contacted the company multiple times by letter, certified mail and phone regarding the complaints. Your BBB even sent a certified letter to the company advising of suspension of Accredited Business status and offering assistance. Your BBB received notices from the post office the certified mail was delivered to the business.
Hakim Insurance Marketing, LLC
Hakim Insurance Marketing, LLC’s BBB Accreditation was also revoked for failure to be responsive and address marketplace disputes quickly, professionally and in good faith. The company has allegedly failed to respond to a consumer complaint regarding the company delivering the complete product promised. Your BBB has contacted the company by letter, certified mail and phone about the complaint. Your BBB received notices from the post office the certified mail was delivered to the business. As a final offer of help, your BBB sent the company a letter by certified mail advising it of suspension of BBB Accredited Business status. The post office reported this letter was left unclaimed by the company.
ICD Contracting, Inc.
Likewise, ICD Contracting, Inc.’s Accreditation with your BBB was revoked for failing to be responsive and address marketplace disputes quickly, professionally and in good faith. A consumer complained to your BBB regarding alleged incomplete work performed on her home. Your BBB tried to reach the business by mail and phone about the issue. Your BBB even extended a request for arbitration to the business that was not responded to. Your BBB did receive confirmation from the post office the certified letter sent to the company indicating suspension of BBB accreditation was received by the company.
North Main Dental
Similar to the other three companies, North Main Dental’s BBB Accreditation was revoked for failure to be responsive and address marketplace disputes quickly, professionally and in good faith. A consumer alleges the company hasn’t fulfilled a contract. As always, your BBB tried to reach the company by letter and phone regarding the complaint. It even sent an certified letter notifying the company of the need for a response to the complaint and possible suspension of BBB Accreditation. The post office reports the letter your BBB sent by certified mail suspending the company’s BBB Accreditation was signed for and received by the company.
According to your BBB and its board of directors, your BBB’s Standards for Trust are designed to offer consumers and businesses confidence before they make purchasing decisions. Expulsion from BBB Accreditation is unfortunate; however enforcing these standards is taken very seriously. These standards also are applied to new applicants that can be denied BBB Accreditation if not in compliance.
