Application Deadline Nears For BBB’s Center For Business And Consumer Ethics’ Students Of Integrity Awards

March 03, 2010

DAYTON, OHIO, February 22, 2010 - Your Better Business Bureau’s Center for Business and Consumer Ethics (CBCE) is accepting applications for its eighth annual Students of Integrity Awards program, sponsored by McAfee Heating & A/C Co., Inc. These awards honor five high school students for high ethical standards through a scholarship competition.

Your BBB believes identifying and honoring young people for high moral character is an important part of its mission to promote ethics. In bringing young people to the forefront, the organization is closing the loop on what it takes to be a successful and contributing community leader whether business, nonprofit or individual.

Each Student of Integrity winner is presented with an award and $1,000 scholarship to an accredited college of his or her choice. They’re also honored at your BBB’s annual Eclipse Integrity Awards on Tuesday, May 11, at the David H. Ponitz Sinclair Center, Dayton. The Eclipse Integrity Awards recognize Miami Valley organizations whose business practices and community activities exemplify ethics and trust.

Miami Valley high school counselors are encouraged to submit three Student of Integrity candidates from their junior or senior classes for these prestigious awards. Completed applications must be postmarked by March 3. Winners will be invited with their parents and a school official to the Eclipse Integrity Awards as guests of McAfee Heating & A/C Co., Inc.
