Consumers and businesses are invited to attend the event and have documents, such as credit card statements, old checks and IRS tax forms shredded free by Confidential Material Destruction, Inc. Everyone is encouraged to bring up to three boxes to be shredded. Since education is the key to putting scams like identity theft out of business, this is an innovative event designed to emphasize the importance of shredding documents and safeguarding personal information.
