I have had my vehicle with this company for multiple weeks. The manager never calls to inform me of this status of my vehicle. I have paid just over $5000 and close to $1000 in rental cars. I work 40 miles away. I am a professional who can not simply work from home. I can no longer adore the rental cars. The manager seems to not care whatsoever about getting me the car back. The car has had to go back once due to bad parts. Then they replaced again and on test drive it was bad there also. The day I decided to take it to them the manager made it seem like he had to know right then if I wanted them to fix it. This has been my worst experience dealing with a shop and I should have faked it to the dealer. At least inwould have been given a rental. This company has a lack of communication issue. I emailed the one email account on the website. No response. Over a week. This has to be a bogus email account that is never checked. I need my vehicle back working or a rental paid by the company who keeps installing the parts that don’t work. With the holidays approaching I can not afford this company keeping my car any longer. I would like my 5000$ back and the broken transmission they still have not fixed. The BBB should not allow their logo attached to this company. I will show u my Verizon bill proving this business never called me. This is the worst. And the manager acts like he’s annoyed he has to do business. Maybe they would move their butts if they had to pay for my rental. I’m broke because of this mess.

Worst possible company EVER to take a vehicle. I would not let them put air in my tires. I had issues with my company truck & took it to their Kettering store & was lied to from the start. issues with them 1. LIARS AND CROOKS 2.Was given a worse possible issue would cost me 2800.00 give or take 15% bill ended up being over 4,000.00 (Apparently someone cant add) was told it would be down 2 days, near 6 days later I got it back 3. Got my van back they claim EVERYTHING in transmission was replaced, 11 days later (4th time driven since repair) it started acting in a VERY similar manner prior to repair I call the same store & tell them, the manager says bring it in should be a simple fix, I have it there at 9:AM late that day 45 min before they close I call them because I have heard nothing and I'm told 1 of the new parts has failed (A part they tell me there was a service bulletin on from the mfg already) however that bulletin was clearly ignored by these professionals. they said we will have it back to you tomorrow morning so the next day mid afternoon I have not heard a thing so i call them, they tell me a 2nd part has failed that they claim to have replaced and it will be 3 additional days before I get it back...... possibly. 4. I asked another store to their general manager call me he assures me this will happen, an hour later the manager from the repair store calls me instead, so i call a 3rd store ask for the owner to call me never got that call either been waiting now 4 days no call from anyone i asked to call me. I thought they had an issue with a couple people at just 1 store, clearly the issues is company wide 5. This company has cost my company roughly 6000.00 in lost revenue and climbing by the day plus a repair cost for a repair that either was NOT done as said or Done wrong. Guess that's why we have a justice system. Do yourself a favor do NOT let them touch your vehicles I plan to post this EVERYWHERE I can find id I could give less then 1 star I would

            03/22/2023

            Dear BBB;
In regard to our initial phone conversation with Buckeye Heating & Air, they were advised that we were merely shooting from the hip on guessing the cost of their repair over the telephone which is why we offer our FREE inspection for accuracy.  Upon our actual accurate inspection of their 2014 Chevy Express 2500 it was determined that in conjunction with the rebuild of their 6 speed transmission they also needed a new electronic techem, special programming, a torque converter and all 3 trans cooler lines.  I called them with the results of the diagnosis informing them of all that needed replaced and rebuilt on 2/23/2023 @ 10:25 am and they authorized the amount of $3788.11 + tax, using his birthdate as an authorization and the PO#.  There were no repairs done or parts ordered until we received the authorization from them.  The 3 trans cooler lines were ordered from a chevy dealer which added to their wait time.
I am confident that in their business that 100% accuracy both diagnosing a heating and air issue and a firm price over the telephone can not be concrete as well, and that they must make a personal visit for accuracy.
We are not the manufacturer of their vehicle.  All replacement parts must be built to the exact original specs of the OEM parts.  Yes, General Motors is having a nationwide failure rate that is alarming for that particular model transmission.  A GM technical service bulletin is an acknowledgement that they are having a widespread issue with a particular product with info on possible fix’s.
We firmly stand by our Warranty which is specified on the back of their invoice, their receipt.
Our professionals did not overlook any aspect of their repair process.
Both parts that were replaced under warranty this week were actual General Motors parts and were replaced free - at no cost to them.
We have 100% fullfilled our obligations which we have done for over half a century.
            We wish them the best.
            Respectively submitted,

            Customer Response

            03/22/2023

Not sure why The owner is sending me a reply. 1. My Opinion and statement stand as made. And is being adjusted as follows 2. Why the owner is replying I have no clue, I never once spoke to him. 3. it's now been 7 days since I was told the general manager was calling me and I still have yet to hear from him it's been 5 days since I was told the owner was calling me and not heard from him other than his response to my original statement where he implies, he spoke to me. 4. after picking up my vehicle the 2nd time I took it a block away for an oil change where there were bolts found lying under the hood and transmission fluid leaking from two places on the transmission, so the vehicle was taken back to this joke of a business for a 3rd time after the leaks were photo graphed and documented by the oil change company. At this time the person who worked on the transmission told Shawn (the acting manager) that the bolts were extra because he needed to replace a couple rusted bolts. however, my question is if the transmission was out two weeks earlier why were there rusted bolts now? 5. They hosed off the fluid and said oh it was just overflow. Seriously? you mean you over filled my transmission? And why leave fluid dripping off a transmission you worked on dripping on a hot exhaust? why was there no over flow the first time it was worked on when they claim they rebuilt the transmission? why the rusted bolts after two weeks? why was I charged to rebuild the entire transmission when clearly it was not done and it was never taken out till the second time it was in their shop? why was it still leaking that evening when I got home? WHY! is it at a dealer's garage right now being fixed properly with the entire repair being video recorded from the removal to the transmission & inspection of every single part as it is removed? WHY does Brownies ONLY care about money they can rip off of people and not care about customer service so much as to return a simple phone call when a customer has concerns with their employees performing the work? Why are they so comfortable ripping off people and lying that they see no reason to return a phone call? As for the money discussion for the original repair I have relistened to the phone conversation as has my attorney when you QUOTE 2800.00 give or take 15% that is NOT shooting from the hip that's stating a FACT with a price window. a returned phone call would have allowed you to hear the recorded conversation as well as the recorded conversation when the vehicle was taken to your shop the 3rd time when Shawn agreed it was possible that it was only the torque converter from the beginning, now your attorney will get all of that in the discovery packet. At this point no phone call is required or requested that opportunity to resolve this matter professionally has come and gone, Brownies clearly has no interest in that and as of now neither do we. The resolution will come from court in the form of a refund, lost earnings, damages and the fact EVERY customer we come in contact with as well as every public posting and social media outlet we can find will be advised of Brownies lack of work ethics, poor customer service and poor workmanship, lack of honesty and thievery.

            03/24/2023

            Dear BBB:
Brownies it! Shops responds to customer complaints because we care about our customers; past, current and future.  Brownies does care about making money.
All automotive shops much like heating and air have to make money in order to fix peoples vehicles.  If we don’t make money, everyone would have broken down vehicles.  Most people understand this.
We do take responsibility for any breakdowns in communication as this customer clearly does not understand what happened to his vehicle while it was in our possession.  The new, but defective torque converter was the only thing wrong with the transmission after we rebuilt the transmission.  This was the cause of the time delay.  The transmission was not overfilled. It spilled during the filling process.  This was all explained to the customer, but communication does go both ways.  Distrust ensues when communication breaks down.  This does not correlate to the notions levied against our business in this complaint, but it is understandable after any communication breakdown.  We will continue to strive for great customer relations even though that ship has clearly sailed in this situation.
            Respectfully submitted,
            Bob L

            03/24/2023

Done Carrying on a conversation with someone who is not listening, 1. ALL my phone calls on my business phone are recorded, I was quoted one price and charged another, you have spent decades taking advantage of people and talking your way out of issues or simply ignoring them till they go away with zero accountability, NOT THIS TIME. And i read your replies as we listen to our conversations with your stores and you CLEARLY have no clue what you are talking about in this situation. 2.I was told 2 of the new parts failed not 1 3. I have never spoken to the owner so I urge him to stop replying to me as he did speak to me, he had his opportunity to speak to me and resolve this matter long before this as did his general manager, both of which i was told would call me and chose not to that's how they care about their customers. 4. Your actions through this entire ordeal has shown you do not care about your customers or quality of work 5. if you were remotely competent, why did i just authorize $2,968.34 for repairs to my transmission that you guys "Fixed" twice? And yet you being such a caring customer oriented company could not return a single phone call to a concerned customer when this situation could have been easily resolved. Your not talking your way out of this and I am NOT going away. And how dare you make statement that i do not understand something you clearly are a very arrogant self-righteous person that i have zero interest in discussing anything further with outside of court. Other than to say EVERY word i have spoken i stand on 100% and it all has been being shared with other business owners and private people and will continue to be. And your comment about Accuracy in diagnoses and pricing being concrete is not 100%, well myself and 4 other local HVAC contractors got a HUGE laugh out of that, so thank you for that. When a real customer oriented professional company gives a diagnosis and a price it is ALWAYS 100% accurate, concrete, firm and guaranteed, even if at times the company has to eat a cost because something got missed or a mistake got made. However according to your contradictive statements such as its not 100% concrete yet your employees didn't make a mistake in the diagnosis or repair. What a Joke!! Good luck with your business future, see you in court
