              I booked a room through a 3rd party booking and due to weather, my plans had changed. I contacted the hotel and was informed that it was a no refund reservation and that if I was going to cancel, I would be out the money I paid for the reservation. After contacting the 3rd party and the hotel directly trying to get a refund, I decided that I would not cancel my reservation but instead make other plans but still use my reservation. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was told that the reservation had been cancelled and that there were no rooms available. I contacted the 3rd party booking who stated that the reservation was still active and that they (the 3rd party booking) had not cancelled it. The 3rd party booking company tried to get a resolution but was told that the hotel was not going to do anything for me. After dealing with this for 45 minutes, I ended up having to drive 2 1/2 hours home with my family very upset, disappointed, tired and out the money I had paid for the reservation.
