Programs

Crayons 4 Classroom Supply Drive helps Crayons to Classrooms (DC2C) collect basic school supplies that go onto the shelves at our new teacher free store to supply local classrooms in need.

The School Box Program provides an opportunity for individuals or companies to tangibly sponsor a classroom or school in our Dayton community. Financial donations will equip the teachers and students with school supply kits to participate in daily classroom activities.

The kits are available in three preassembled arrangements appropriate for the needs of students in grades K-8. The contents are new, name brand supplies including Crayola, Staples, Acme, and Prang. They will be delivered to a predetermined destination based on need in a corrugated box with a plastic handle.

Through Classroom Solutions, DC2C aims to provide teachers with useful, hands-on products. This is a collaborative program in which community volunteers and/or individuals in the Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley's sheltered workshop create shaped pieces for student learning tools using die-cut machines.

Paper, cardboard, felt, and plastic can be refashioned into a wealth of shapes for many classroom purposes including alphabet letters, numerals, and geometric forms. Die-cut shapes can represent the seasons, holidays, foods, animals, plants, people, clothing, etc---the sky is the limit with their potential uses.
