North Texas Forum on Elder Abuse 2014

Come to the FREE North Texas Forum on Elder Abuse and learn about scams aimed at seniors and how to protect against elder abuse. Better Business Bureau Serving Dallas and Northeast Texas (BBB) and other community organizations and state and federal agencies will take part in panel discussions and will be on hand to answer questions.

Come for one or all of the following sessions on Friday, June 13, 2014:

8:30 - 9:00 AM -- Check in, light refreshments

9:00 - 10:00 AM -- Prevention of Financial Exploitation. Important strategies from a panel of fraud & scam prevention experts.

10:00 - 11:00 AM -- Prevention and Protection Against Elder Abuse. Hear from local and regional partners about their roles and yours.

Free shredding truck will be onsite during the event, sponsored by AARP Texas. Bring your unwanted documents and dispose of them safely.

This event commemorates 9th Annual World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. The event is a collaborationi of federal partners from the Administration for Community Living/Department of Health and Human Services, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Department of Justice, with local partners from the Dallas Area Agency on Aging, Community Council of Greater Dallas and the City of Irving.
