When you're moving, an easy way to change your address is to do it online through the United States Postal Service. Just make sure you’re actually on the USPS website, and not a fake, said Doug Magditch, Nightcap TV, CW33-TV, Dallas - Fort Worth.
“It’s very easy to set up a website that looks good or kind of looks like another business or agency,” said Jeannette Kopko from the Dallas Better Business Bureau (Dallas BBB).
The websites offering to change your address charge about $20 or more, but it's really easy to change your address through USPS.
Also, beware of identity theft, said Doug Magditch. "If it isn’t the government you’re giving your information to, there’s no telling what they’ll do with it. Identity theft is not something you want to worry about when you’re dealing with a move," he said.See the story at: http://nightcaptv.com/2013/08/12/scam-websites-will-change-your-address-at-a-cost/#ixzz2bruGVLxG
