1/8/2022 I visited the MedHelp 280 location and asked for an x-ray to see if I had a broken bone in my hand; I said "I'm here to get an x-ray."! I was not told at that time that the x-ray was broken or I would have left. Instead they kept me waiting for 3 hours and I was only seen after I complained about the wait time when I observed many, many people coming in after me but being seen before me; I observed another person complaining about the same reason. I was told they were "waiting for a room to be cleaned"... but I was told that for 2 of the 3 hours. From what I observed, the regular urgent care clients were forced to wait while the Covid patients (ie. vaccinations, mandatory tele-appt before testing, etc.) were seen first. When I was seen by the doctor (before he came in the room I could hear him on tele-appt calls), I said I hurt my hand and he replied something to the effect of: "oh no, our x-ray is broken and I don't have x-ray vision to see what's wrong" and then recommended I see an orthopedic doctor and get an x-ray. He did a short review of my range of motion to see if it caused me pain - for a total interaction of 5 minutes. When I received my bill they chose billing codes XXXXX, which is for a more extensive evaluation and approximately 30-44 min visit, and a higher associated charge of $165. I was also charged an additional $44 for an after hours visit even though I was there during their normally schedule office hours. This charge of $209 was reduced by my insurer and I'm asked to pay $139.80, which I'm disputing as an unacceptable amount, on account # XXXXXXXXXXX. My request is for a charge of $25, which more closely aligns to the negligent communication and not receiving the medical services I requested.
