People Still Falling for Fake 'Grandkids' Call

Teenage con artists in Canada are targeting grandmothers urging them to wire money. The con artists call claiming they are the victim’s grand son and need them to wire money fast because they were caught in a fender bender. To back up the story, an accomplice poses a policeman, according to KOMO News.

One victim tried to call the ‘grandkids’ parents but they weren’t home, so she went ahead and wired the money. Currently, the con artists’ calls are limited to the Western Washington area but too many are falling for this fake grandkids call.
