GM Hurries to Get Ads Corrected

Yesterday, GM contacted car dealers across the country to correct online advertisements for used Chevy Impalas that were labeled as having a safety feature that didn't exist.

The automaker’s action followed a Kansas City Star report Sunday that revealed tens of thousands of 2006-08 Impalas were built without head-protecting, side curtain air bags that otherwise came standard on the vehicles.

Hundreds of the cars were falsely advertised online as having the side air bags.
