Several dealerships are coming under fire because of the questionable sales terms they are offering to customers who are taking advantage of the government's Cash for Clunkers program.
Consumer advocacy groups are pressuring the Department of Transportation to take action against those dealerships, according to KOMO News.
The groups said that some dealerships have convinced customers to sign agreements which would require them to repay their Clunkers rebate if the dealership isn't reimbursed for the sale, KOMO reported. Some customers have also been pressured to accept new, less favorable terms after the sale.
