1 Million Less Air Travelers this Labor Day
February 26, 2010

The number of people flying this Labor Day weekend are expected to be down 3.5 percent from last year, according to the Phoenix Business Journal

The recession is the reason close to 1 million fewer passengers will fly compared to the 17 million last Labor Day.

If you are flying, you can expect the airports to be pretty dead, but your flight to be full. Airlines have cut flights to ensure that each plane is filled to capacity, the Business Journal reported.
