A brand new scam hit Facebook over the weekend, this time targeting Whole Foods shoppers, according to NBC Bay Area.
The scam works this way: fans are invited to join a 'fan page' in exchange for money to spend at Whole Foods' markets. What really happens though is that users are asked for private information and then download malware, which is bad for your computer.
Whole Foods is working to shut down the page and Facebook is promising to flag such groups. In the meantime, Whole Foods is using their twitter page to communicate with users and track scams.
