Beware of NCAA Final Four Ticket, Travel Scams
March 15, 2010

Basketball fans looking to follow their favorite college team to the NCAA Final Four, should be cautious of ticket and travel package scams, according to Lex18.

With expensive hard-to-find tickets, many fans may go through third-party unknown vendors, hoping to catch a good a seat.  BBB is warning fans that before paying for tickets, they should check out the company's Reliability Report online.

The same warning goes for buying travel packages online. Use only secure sites for online transactions. A padlock icon in your browser is a sign that a site is secure. Also, unsecure sites will have "http://" in the browser while secure sites will display "https://". Finally, fans should be very wary of sites that discourage using credit cards.
