Ms. Doran brings over twenty years of experience working in the public interest as a lawyer and executive manager. In 1991, she joined CBBB's legal team, initially assigned to its flagship BBB AUTO LINE dispute resolution program. A few years later, she took over the BBB trademark portfolio. Under her leadership, the BBB system’s trademark portfolio grew from seven to seventy-seven worldwide registrations and more than ten-thousand misuse or infringement cases were resolved.
Vicki also led BBB’s 2006 branding initiative, which included wholesale rebranding, website redesign and the development of BBB’s first content management system. For her work, she was a 2007 recipient of a CBBB Teamwork Award.
Today, Vicki is responsible for managing the organization's web presence and digital strategies. Under her direction, other BBB digital accomplishments include the launch of BBB’s first mobile app, BBB’s Consumer News and Opinion Blog and the redesign of BBB’s premiere consumer offering, the BBB Business Review.
Prior to joining CBBB in 1991, Ms. Doran practiced immigration law for the United States Justice Department. She received her J.D., summa cum laude, from The American University, Washington College of Law and her B.S., cum laude, in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. Ms. Doran also served for several years as an adjunct professor at the Washington College of Law, teaching a course in dispute resolution.
