Beverly Baskin has spent most of her working life with the Better Business Bureau and currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Mission Officer for the Council of Better Business Bureaus. She brings over two decades of leadership and management experience to promoting beneficial, ethical relationships between consumers and businesses.
Prior to joining CBBB in January, 2011, Baskin was President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau headquartered in Raleigh, NC for twelve years. She began her career with the Better Business Bureau in Columbia, South Carolina, where she was the founding director and CEO of the BBB of Central South Carolina and Charleston.
In the mid-nineties Baskin took a hiatus from her BBB work and served as a Peace Corps volunteer. Spending two years in the Fiji Islands, Baskin worked as a liaison between the Supreme Court of Fiji and the Consumer Council of Fiji to help develop a Small Claims Tribunal.
Baskin holds her BA in psychology from the University of South Carolina and a Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies from Duke University. She lives and works in Raleigh, North Carolina.
