You are entitled to obtain a credit report from each of the three credit reporting companies every 12 calendar months. BBB recommends pulling one report every 4 months to keep an eye on any unauthorized lines of credit which may indicate identity theft, and to correct any inaccuracies. The website is sanctioned by the federal government, and in order to authenticate your identity, will be required to provide your Social Security number.
