On 3/2/2022, Water Dr. replaced a ******** submersible well water pump and a well water storage tank at *** ****** ** ******** ** *****. Unfortunately, the service provided was inadequate because the replacement of the water storage tank and higher PSI well pump (30 PSI to 70 PSI) caused a leak at the ***** water filtration system, which was also installed by Water Dr. on 8/24/2021. I am disappointed because by the time I noticed the leak on 3/5/2022, the water caused $9,600 in damage in my finished basement. When I asked Rick H*****, the owner, to refund the cost of the services, $6,795.77 on 3/5/2022 when he came to 1** ****** to clean up the water he refused but verbally promised to take care of the damage without going through insurance. In the following week after having the damage appraised by a contractor and sending you the quote ($9,600), Rick passed blame on ***** water systems. I contacted a sales representative and district manager of *****, Kirk S********* who stated that the ***** water system was installed upside-down by Water Doctor and therefore not responsible and to follow up with insurance. Rick continued to refuse to go through insurance or provide his companies insurance information. Rick forwarded me the email of *****’s lawyer, *** *****, stating that ***** was taking responsibility for the damage and to wait for them to contact me. I contacted *****’s lawyer directly. *** ***** stated that ***** technical support advised Rick on March 15, 2022, that they are not responsible for the damage Rick should follow up with his insurance company. Please see attached documentation. Two days on later March 17th my communications with Rick ceased, and he actively began avoiding my efforts to contact then. I had called / texted his personal number and left multiple messages with his receptionist. I sent one final email to Water Dr. asking for a refund or insurance information before filing a BBB / consumer protection complaint. I received no response.

This company was recommended by a first responder who came to pump the water out of our home after a well pipe burst and so we thought we could trust them since they told us they service first responder families. I am going to be very honest and careful with what I disclose but all of it will be the truth in how it transpired, so you be the judge. They came out the first time after our well tank burst and flooded our home. They came out and said we would need a new well tank and that it was the valve on the old tank. Okay we believed them, sort of. We had some reservations and something just seemed off but at the time we had to get it fixed. We had someone (an engineer who figured out what really happened) check the old tank after they removed it and they said the valve was literally pried off (by them) and that what cause the water to flood was a well connector pipe not the tank valve. So that was about two thousand dollars for the tank as opposed to just fixing the pipe. We continued to use them for our service (our bad) and there was always something wrong with the system or water after they left. We desperately tried to believe them and give them the benefit of the doubt. We wanted to trust that they were being honest. But not,,,,Then the water was cloudy after the new well was installed. They came and did some test and said we needed a new well pump, ok so we got a new well pump, another 3 grand. Then another year another service still cloudy water , so they send -the son-in-law of the owner, who comes over and clumsily kicks over the pipe cemented into the ground, now mind you have to kick that pretty hard to open up a valve and he flooded out the lower level again. We sustained several hundred dollars in damage by having to replace flooring and moldings and we never charged them for the damage. Then the big one came along we woke up to a leak under the softener system -they did come out right away only because they knew they were going to make big bucks. They quickly came (within 15 minutes wow) and installed the system and collected their big check- Four thousand dollars later and three new tanks that stopped working after a few weeks, the brine tank filled with sludge and the system stopped backwashing. Then, One day I walked into another flood of water pouring out from under the new tanks and called -the owner, who came out in the middle of the night (which I applauded) but then tells me it was the plumbing pipe and not their system, (aha!) Well, how interesting is that??? So this was where the real leak was from originally and I asked him "if your guys misdiagnosed it?" and his response was well you would have needed a new system eventually then he has the audacity to hand me a bill for nearly 200.!!! I could not believe it and you betcha I am upset. I was not in the market for purchasing a new system at 4 grand which has now brought the total paid this company to over 10 thousand dollars in the last few years, not to mention the yearly service charges. So, Now, I called again and keep getting a brick wall, and so far had to wait over two weeks for someone to come out and then only getting excuses. They call me at 8 pm the day they were scheduled to come and tell me I was not a priority so they cannot make it. Can you believe this? It's true! This company is only out there to make money by selling an inferior product to unsuspecting individuals and their system does not work. I have been nothing but kind and patient and even forgiving but now I am at the end of the line with this company. They are not interested in customer service or servicing the product they sell. What would you do???? I want them to come and collect their tanks and would like a full refund of the 4 thousand dollars. The system is not working and can possibly be defective. Buyers BEWARE. They seem like nice people but there is an underlying deception. Which is the worst kind of business. How very sad that you cannot get a company to do honest work but only take advantage of people. They gave me a 1 year warranty and its been just over a month and the system is not working so I would like my money back and they can have their system. It has been beyond frustrating to have to deal with their manipulative tactics. ...2 weeks and waiting.

These are all lies. We would never sell anything to anyone who didn't need it. We only change out things that are needed to be changed out. This person has ACIDIC water- which means her water is corrosive and eats all her copper piping, which includes her well tank. When we came out originally, we changed her tank because it was corroded- it was not worth just fixing- because we are liable if that leaks again. You agreed to all of the purchases. Nothing was ever "kicked", this leak was already happening and we came over in the middle of the night for that too for you and fixed it, again because of acidic water. So, lastly, we come to your house and we show you multiple leaks on your WELL filters, not one but two leaks that were due to old age and, acidic water. You then again, (after seeing the leaks), agreed to change out the filters because they were past due to be changed. we have been mentioning this to you for about a year now, trying to give you a heads up on the possibility of it leaking. Then you get another leak behind a wall, we come out and we can't get to it because its behind the wall- this is a separate leak, the fact that you think it was the same leak is misleading and manipulative to the readers. we have explained you that this was not the same leak, but a separate leak- the other leak was on your well filters. But you still think we did the filters for no reason. Then two weeks later, your salt tank has some dirt in it- which is completely normal, and you want us to come to your house at a specific time to clean it, when there are people out there with no water in their homes and we are dealing with emergencies. You are the one who is manipulative- you are looking for people to come and fix your problems and we always come and fix your problems, and we were always nice to you, but when we leave you change your mind. You can't go to a restaurant and order food, eat it and decide you don't like it after, or decide after you're done eating it, that it was too much money. You are lying about what happened and not understanding the situation and think that we are out to get you, when we aren't. I am sorry times are tough for you, but we have been extremely nice to you and this review is not warranted. Good luck with everything I hope you figure things out.

    Customer Response

    07/12/2021

I was not going to respond or give this any more energy but I would just like to point out how your response was complete denial and there is even something wrong with your comment about saying I am manipulative because I said "I am home anytime after 4:30?" Isn't that how you schedule appointments? I waited and was patient for 2 weeks and then you called me and told me you didn't come because I had no money after I just paid you nearly $4000.00 that's 4 -THOUSAND dollars. You cannot fix what you have done here. You don;t know what people are going through. I forgive you and I hope you can pivot from here and examine your own conscience. Not everyone has a money tree. Try looking up the word EMPATHY and live according to that. It's basically the Golden Rule in life and business.
