Complaint: I had 100 gallons of fuel oil delivered to my House February 24th, 2014 at 6:30 AM. I went off to work and got home and had no heat. Called our service man, not best oil, that our burner had gone out. He came out and spent two hours pumping over 20 gallons of water out of our tank. When I called their service department and explain the situation, they couldn't figure out how it happened. When I called the manager the next day they said they figured out what happened. They had pumped someone elses tank out because they had water in their tank and forgot to purge the truck. When I explained not only did I feel I should pay $4 a gallon for at least 20 gallons of water, plus my service man's time, plus getting rid of the waste water, I was assured that it would all be taken care of. I was to call back when I received my service man's bill. So I received the bill today and called and was belittled by the manager, *****, that we should have used his service department and he thought the bill was too high. I did not ask for this situation. They gave me bad product which in turn caused a problem with our system. I decided that I did not want them on my property any more, and refused them to come out and deliver any more oil, for fear of what else they would put in my tank. I believe I should get paid for at least the bad product I was provided, as I do not want them here in case they put something else in my system. I have agreed to pay my service man, since is dependable and reliable and has always come out and given us fair pricing and service. That is unlike Best Oil.

Desired Settlement: I would like a check refund of the at least 20 gallons (at $4.00 per gallon) of water they put in my tank. Not only do I have pictures of it coming out of my tank, I have documentation of the bill from best oil for that day as well as the bill from my service man and pictures of the buckets of water. Their service man also came out and witnessed the buckets of water, and they admitted the mistake was on their part. I do not want them on my property for fear they will damage something else

On sat. 2/24/2014 best Oil did a pump out of an oil tank and had no idea that there was water in the tank, the tank should of been oil only

and no water in it.    Yes it is Best Oil"s fault for not checking it for water and taking the customers word on it.

The service tech was working extra hours and it slipped his mind to check for water.

Unfortunately in this world we live in humans do make mistakes and have accidents

Best Oil will send out today a check for the oil 20 gals @ 4.00 plus $175.00 to cover service work done
