On 12/21/21 I entered a "contract" with GM Industries Inc to design & install a **** ***** *******. He spent the $54,850. I gave him on personal & business expenses without setting it up in escrow, He went up on his price and wanted additional money to continue. I had to pay an extra $10,00 for supplies that he was supposed to cover. Some delays were on my end due to town paperwork & mostly weather issues, however, he asked to delay this project several times so that he could start others. I asked for a refund, several months ago, but he told me he spent the money. He just this past week, dropped off some of the tracker, & noted that he was assisting us in building it as a favor to us. He has 2 large outstanding judgements totaling over $250,000 against him (that my lawyer found) & there might be others that have not followed through. He has added costs in upwards of $20,000 to this project, with no completion date in place. He is rude & unprofessional. He not only is disrespectful but has insulted me. He does not allow for a 2 way conversation to go over his increases & understand his updated contract & payment schedule. He backdated the most recent paperwork to his favor. The framework is not as expected yet wanted another check for $36,200. on 12/22/23, the Saturday before Christmas, with no prior notice. A check that the bank has to release to me. so, he pulled his guys out til next week so he can get another clients money to fund his expenses (according to his text sent today). He claims to have 45 more jobs lined up. How many others are out there with the same exposure I wonder? I do not want this project to continue with this contractor. If I had known about those judgements 2 years ago, I would have never consulted with him. I just want my money back
