Roof was completed at the beginning of April. We paid $11400 already and we still owe about $16000. Before paying we asked to address 2 cosmetic issues and one more serious concern and we are at an impasse with the company Problems 1)The roofer installed 2 vents on our roof above our bedroom and replaced the older vent of our bathroom. Under windy conditions, the vents are flapping, creating a loud noise and it is impossible to sleep. 2)The roofer put some flashing under the shingles and siding but it is visible at the corner where the siding meets the lower part of the roof. This flashing is very reflecting and it does not look good 3)Similarly to the siding problem, flashing was added under the copper in the front of the house. For some reason after the copper was lifted and put back on, the copper does not reach the shingles anymore in some spots and the silvery flashing is visible. Resolution: 1)We asked to do something about the vents to mitigate the noise. The answer from the roofer is that it is supposed to be like that 2 and 3)We told our concerns about the silvery shiny flashing. We told the roofer and the answer was that it will weather and will not be visible in 6 months. We said we would like to pay him but we would like a promise in writing he would address these cosmetic issues if the flashing is still visible in six months. We want to resolve these issues and pay for the work, but we are incredibly worried about whether the work is really guaranteed since anything we have brought up since the "completion" of the work we have been told over and over that things are supposed to be like this and were like this before.
