Complaint: Dan the salesman came to my home on October 3, 2015 and measured my garage door. The door was ordered and the garage door was installed on November 16, 2015. The men who installed the garage door stated the measurements for the door were incorrect. I called the week before Thanksgiving to have this corrected and the repairmen came out and still not fix the problem correctly. The door will also not lock and unlock easily. I ended up calling again that same week and was told a salesman would call me and I never received the call. I called again on December 1, 2015 and was told a Mr. Avery would call me back and I never received a call from him either.

Desired Settlement: I am requesting that the garage door be replaced for free with the correct measurement and install the correct size.

Business Response: As per attached paperwork the door that was installed was the correct size for opening. The customer signed for the completed install which was done on November 16, 2015. The opening is not plum and the floor is not level and has a drop sill, the tech that went out to do the service call explained that to the customer. He adjusted the door to make it fit as tight as it can possibly can be. In order to make it fit in the drop sill the salesman and the tech explained that the opening would have to re-framed. The customer was aware of that change. We have done everything possible to make the install as complete as we can. I was informed of this complant at 4:18 pm on December 1, 2015 and recieved the complaint this morning via email from the BBB. i

I am rejecting this response because: the Door is not the right fit. The installers even said it was not the right size. I had no choice but to have the door installed because when they took the old one down it was in pieces.

Business Response: The door is the correct size for the opening as I explained in the original response.  Due to the opening not being square and the door being made of steel, it would appear to the customer that way. The customer chose not to do the re-frame. The tech that did the service call adjusted the door so it fits as tight as conditions allow.
