Complaint: I ordered The ************ ******* ** ***** *** ***** on 08/20/2013. Three or four days later I got the wrong book. I emailed the "company" that was suppose to be *********** but if I look it up nothing comes up for them. I told them that I got the wrong book and I would send the book back. Which I did. I also said that I would like my money back. I have to yet to see that money. The total was $71.65. I am very upset.
Desired Settlement: I would like my $71.65 back!

This customer purchased a book in our Marketplace from a 3rd party seller ******************* when the customer alerted them that they had sent the wrong book the seller was very responsive and apologized and also gave the return address to send the book to. They also asked for the ISBN of the incorrect book that the customer received so they could confirm the book was indeed incorrect however the customer did not supply that information and ignored the request instead asking for a refund. This can all be seen below in the Buyer/Seller Communication, also the customer just sent the book back on the 12th of September and USPS postal service even standard mail takes 3-10 business days to arrive. As far as we can see the seller nor our company has done anything wrong and in fact this complaint is baseless upon the fact that the customer has not contacted us to ask that we intervene on their behalf which violates our site policies. Once the seller receives the book back into their warehouse they will issue a refund, not before.
This is also quite telling as this is one of our institutional accounts and as a student their school gives them explicit instructions on how to shop on our site and they are also given detailed explanations on the Help tab at the top of their bookstore page on who and where to contact if they need assistance. We will pass this information along to the school so they are aware that this complaint has been filed with the school's bookstore. (********** ********* ** ******** *******). Complaint: I found textbookx.com through a website sent from my state university. I ordered a textbook needed for class through them but from a private seller on their website. I recieved a book quickly but it was the wrong one. I went to textbookx.com website and was instructed to contact the seller directly. I emailed the seller but recieved no response. Not only does the seller have no phone number but neither does the website. I them proceeded to read the sellers reviews. The seller has only 3.3 stars out of 5 because it seems they do this a lot. Out of the 50 reviews I read, over half of them stated they were in the same situation. They recieved the wrong book and the seller refused to refund their money. I sent an email to textbookx.com about the situation and again, recieved no response. I am extremely livid that a company can willing still work with a shady seller like this! I demand a refund and that textbookx.com address this issue! Product_Or_Service: Textbook Order_Number: XXXXXXX
Desired Settlement: I want a refund for the book: $25.78 plus the $4.96 in shipping. The seller knew the were sending the wrong material and arent willing to correct it.
Business Response: Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2013/08/27) */ Ms. ******* purchased the International Edition of the textbook which is listed in the Seller Comments and that is exactly what she received. She emailed her seller after the purchase and the seller responded with the exact same message that she had purchased the International Edition which is exactly what she was sent. Ms. ******* like many other customers either fail to read the seller comments or have buyer's remorse afterwards and want a refund either way we cannot force a seller to accept a return or refund on a book they clearly marked as an "International Edition" Here are the seller comments under the description of the book "Principles of Instrumental Analysis Seller Condition: New/Like New Seller Comments: New softcover International Edition. Same contents as US edition. It is legal to use International editions. We Ship to PO BOX Address also. EXPEDITED shipping option available for certian weight packets only." We received no communication from Ms. ******* regarding this order I've searched by her email and by her name and order number and have not one email from her. She did not give our company a chance to resolve this issue with her therefore at this point she must go through her seller to resolve the issue. If she decides to contact us via our Help tab on the site we can contact the seller for her to see if we can persuade the seller to accept the return however they are not obligated. They did not misrepresent the item. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/08/30) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.) I assure you this is not buyers remorse. I am not sure where you recieved that product description from but that was not the description from the book I purchased. I did contact your company, I sent two separate emails through your help link and received no responses. Second, if that was the product description then the seller is falsely advertising. They may state that the international version is legal in the US but the book itself even states that is NOT true. I am willing to pay the shipping to send it back but I still want a refund.
