Complaint The original price promised was changed and they refused to work with us. When my car was originally brought to this establishment, we were told that we would receive $300 for the car once we brought in the title. We then found out that the title was not actually required and they gave us incorrect information. Then when we called to inquire about the sale again (the vehicle was already in their possession), they told us, (not the owner), that we would only receive $150. Then when we tried to work with them on the price, they would not work with us. The customer service was absolutely horrible and they were very rude and unprofessional. Also, the person who we know to be the manager posed as the owner of the company when we asked to speak to the real owner and refused to let us speak with them.
Desired Settlement I would like the $300 that was promised to me or to have my car towed back to my home free of charge.
Business Response Contact Name and Title: **** ********* - GM Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: ****@brandybrowauto.com This vehicle was towed from a repair facility per the customer's request on 12/30/14. Ms. ******* father had called in the tow request. He was told at that time that a title was required if they wished to recycle the vehicle. He said he had the title. He was given a price that we would pay for the vehicle at that time. He was told that if the paperwork ended up not being available, we would not buy the vehicle and storage charges of $35 per day would incur. He said he understood. For almost 2 months, there was no contact made from the customer. When Ms. ******* decided to finally contact us to sell the vehicle, the price we were willing to pay for it, based on steel market conditions, had changed. We did not buy the car in Dec, we towed and stored it. If she would like to pick up the vehicle, we will gladly wave ALL storage and tow fees to help rectify the situation.
Complaint Will not refund bad parts and they knowingly knew they were bad I bought numerous parts from them and have had issues with the parts everytime i tried not to complain and just fixed a few myself to make the part work but they i bought a transmission and i heard the worker whisper to the teller and the teller says no dont worry when he knew that transmission was no good. Now i buy a transmission that i did not use and wanted to return when the receipt has two sections on it that define there warranty claims but because i am 10 days over there smaller warranty section i still am in the 90 day period that is on my slip. The teller stated you got bad luck and laughed at me. Not good buisness. Id advise to stay away.
Desired Settlement I just want my 400 dollars back. If not i want to save the next customer from waisting time and money shopping there i wont stop here my attorney will be involved. Ic#XXXXX. Dealer **********
Business Response Contact Name and Title: **** ********* - GM Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: ****@brandybrowauto.com We appreciate the customer feedback and understand his frustration. This customer is covered under a 90 day parts replacement warranty period, which we are happy to help him with. Customer, which is a local garage, called approximately 45 days after purchase and said he lost the job. We explained to him that he could not return the transmission for cash back, as is our policy stated on our sales receipt. He then changed his reason and said the unit was no good. We told him we could get a replacement transmission ready and would deliver and swap for him. We obviously would not intentionally sell bad parts, it wouldn't make sense. We have our parts pullers inspect parts to the best of their ability, but we do not want to pay them to do the job twice either. This customer is still covered under his warranty and can certainly get a replacement part if desired.
