Additional Notes

Complaint: I started financing a 2007 Chrysler Sebring with Motormax in 2012. My first complaint with the car started about 2 days after I had the car, it cut off while sitting at a red light on my way to work. I was told by the person *** who sold me the car that it was probably because of the gas I put in the car. I said ok, I will start using better gas. I didn't have the problem again. But then a month or so later the airbag light came on and being extra cautious I wanted them to check it out. I was once more told by Tim that it was because of the steam cleaning. He said sometimes the steam causes the lights to act funny, they will come on and go off until the wires dry off. I like to think the best of people so I believed him. During the same month or possibly the month after the car went dead all on its own. I hadn't left any lights on or anything else that should drain the battery. They replaced the battery and everything was ok for a while until it happened again except this time I wasn't even able to jump the car off because it wouldn't hold a charge. They had to tow the car to their personal mechanic who said it was fixed. Now this happened a couple of more times, they kept telling me that I was getting bad batteries. Ok after that incident I rode for maybe 6 more months and the car goes crazy. I find that I need to replace the alternator and starter. I replace both with new parts and not more than 6 months later the car does the same thing again even worse now than before. This happened just recently a week ago from today. The car had to be towed again to a different mechanic. I was told by this mechanic that basically the computer was telling the car what to do but it wasn't listening. Now after 2 years of making all my payments on time, putting brand new parts on the car that I may have to pay for the repairs even though I have been having electrical problems with the car since I got it.

Desired Settlement: I want them to own up to the fact that this problem has been ongoing not something that just started happening. I have missed several days of work, paid several people lots of money to take me back and forth to work. It takes me 45 minutes to get to work, I am a single mom of three. I have paid out too much money to keep this car up and running considering that I have only had the car for two years. All I want is for them to pay for the repairs.Especially when the problem started under warrant.

Consumer Response:

Motormax solved the problem not to my satisfaction but not much I can do I need a car to work and support my family.
