Complaint: In September of 2013, I purchased a new car from this dealership; trading in a car that I'd previously purchased there roughly 3 years previous. Just as this purchase, I purchased GAP coverage insurance for my previous car. Based on previous experience, I knew that I could contact the dealership in order to obtain my prorated GAP insurance refund. On 9/23 at 3:54 p.m. that is exactly what I did. I spoke with '******' ext. ***, at Mike Patton Honda who informed me that she hadn't received the paperwork for my new car, but as soon as she did, she would start the paperwork for my refund and would give me a call when the check was processed and being mailed...taking anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks. On 10/30 at 11:58 a.m., I called back to Mike Patton Honda to inquire about my check as I had not received anything. Again I'd spoke with '******' ext. ***, who acted as if she'd never spoken to me and didn't remember telling me that she'd call me in a few minutes after she takes a look into my paperwork. It is now 11/14, and I haven't received my check or a phone call.

Desired Settlement: I only want my money; the money that I am due, that I paid when purchasing my car. There is no other settlement option.

Business Response: I have spoken with the customer and apologized for our mishandling of her issue.  There was no good reason for the delay or confusion we caused her.  We see this as a training opportunity!

 
We have now cut the check and sent it to her.  The matter should be resolved at this point.
