Complaint: My 1958 Chevy was given to the maaco body shop on 11/11 for body repair and painting of the truck. This was to be completed in two to three months. I received the truck back today (5/20/13) looking worse than it did when it was taken. The only thing done on the truck was stripping the paint off and not priming it which caused the body to rust. After all of this, I ask ****** for my parts I took in. He was not decent enough to load or at least help me load. My son and I did it alone. Most of the parts are still missing and he (******) would not take time to locate them. He treated me as though I was not in his present today. I had to keep asking his workers his whereabouts or is he getting my parts. After 18 months you would think he would appologize, but nothing. ****** did not come out when we were leaving to make sure everything was okay. I would like to have my missing parts replaced or the value in cash in order for me to purchase them again. Also, we had to clean all of the trash put in my truck by maaco.
Desired Settlement: Return missing parts or the value in cash.
Business Response: Hunter Bryan has talked with Mr. Devillars about a satisfactory solution to his complaint. When that action is taken it is our understanding this matter will be resolved.
Business Response: This customer has been called twice and hung up the phone on both occasions. We are at a loss how to proceed.
BBB's Final Determination: After reviewing the position of all parties, BBB determined that the business made a reasonable effort to address the complaint. However the consumer remains dissatisfied.
