05/13/2014Problems with Product / Service | Read Complaint Details

Was told my project would take a few days and it has been over 2 weeks and it is still not completed.
Agreement for work to be done was signed on April 2, 2014 with a down payment of $2000 furnished at the time of signing. Received a call from ***** ********, owner of the company, stating that they were waiting on a few more materials, but would be able to start the project on April 15, 2014 and would be finished by the time I returned back in town on April 17, 2014. When I returned home from vacation on April 17, 2014 I found workers at my house just standing around with the radio playing in the background. One of the workers stated, "Oh, I thought you were out of town". One "worker" quickly got into his van and drove off. The crew had supposedly been working on my house for almost 3 days and hadn't even finished half of the proposed work. The main worker stated that they would be back the next morning at 8am to finish up. The next day came and I had not received any phone call from the company. Crew finally showed up around 1245pm on April 18, 2014. They worked on the house until about 4pm then had to stop due to rain. They left my property dirty and sloppy, with power cords hanging loosing along the sides of my house. They also left small pieces of left over vinyl laying around outside where my 1 year old daughter could easily pick them up. Called and spoke with ***** ******** and stated my frustration and concern with the whole process and he said that he would have the crew back over the next day to tidy things up. They did come back over that next day and fixed the loose cords and clean up. Spoke with ***** again that day and he stated that the crew would be back over on Monday April 21 to finish up. Received a call from *** ******* on April 21 stating that they were waiting on some materials and would be over as soon as those were in. No one word from the company until Friday April 25 when the owner, *****, dropped by the "re-measure" the porch that was to be screened in. He stated to me on that day that they were still waiting on the materials and that they would have me finished up on Tuesday April 29. It is now April 29 and no one has showed up to finish the proposed work. Spoke with ***** at 3:53 and stated my concern with the project and he said he would call the "gutter people" and call me back. I have not received a call back. This has taken too long and the whole process has been frustrating, inconvenient, and very sloppy.

Desired Settlement
I would like my vinyl work done, as well as my gutters put up like was proposed in the settlement. I NO LONGER wish for the work on my porch to be done. If this can't be arranged, then I am asking for a refund.

I have met with Ms. ******* 3 times since she filed this complaint. This job is now complete and I have done a walk around with Ms. ******* and she is now completely satisfied. All aspects of the original contract have been completed.

09/16/2013Guarantee / Warranty Issues | Read Complaint Details

In July, 2011 I contracted roof services by ***** ********. After work was completed, we had a series of rain around the first of this year. I began to notice a leak in my home. I called for him to come back out and complete the repairs. He came out once but, roof still leaks. He promised to come out but he hasn't been back yet..

Desired Settlement
Come back and complete work. I am still under warranty.

I immediately responded to the customers complaint concerning the leak. We fixed the leak and there is a small water stain on the ceiling. I explained to Mr. ********* that we needed to wait until we had another rain to make sure that the leak was fixed and then I would schedule a time to come back and cover the spot with kilz. The customer never called and told me that the leak was fixed but he did call and say that he was ready to get the spot painted. I explained to him that I was very busy and that I would put him on my schedule to get the spot covered. that was not good enough for him he wanted it done right then and I just couldn't make that happen. I am still willing to go and paint the spot but Mr. ********* needs to contact me so that we can set up a mutually agreeable time.
