Complaint I have just received a call from G L Solutions at 4000 Saver Drive, Faver Place, Suite 300 in Charleston, South Carolina XXXXX trying to collect $120.00 I do not owe. They keep changing the address and it doesn't exist according to the website by the Postal Department. When I asked who they were collecting for they told me unknown. I was told that if I did not pay immediately they were going to ruin my credit rating by reporting me the Credit Bureau. They gave me this number to call XXX-XXX-XXXX. This is a cell phone number located in Fort Lauderdale FL. He refused to give me the address and said it had been turned over for collection and was out of his hands. Both parties kept telling me to look at my paper work(there is none - No contract and no monthly bills. Nothing was ever received in the US MAIL.When I accepted the Web-site I paid their one time charge of $19.99 to pay to have the web-site set up. I was told there would be no further charges for maintenance or hosting. They keep arguing that is not true. When I hung up I received a call from ****** ********* ******** offering me a free web-site for a one time fee of $19.99 to pay for having a Web-Site set up. No other fees ever. No hosting or maintenance charges, etc. I told them to forget it. Their Number is XXX-XXX-XXXX out of Las Vegas NV. She stated they were also from AZ which is were the first website was from. Both are search engines to help people find financial aid. I told them I wasn't interested.I called the collection company back to tell them it would take up to a month for the BBB to handle my complaint and they would receive nothing until it was resolved. They told me they didn't care whether it was a legal debt and they didn't care about me. They demanded the money immediately and accused me of wasting their time. Product_Or_Service: One time fee to set up website Order_Number: None Account_Number: None
Desired Settlement I expect them drop the account and if they have reported this fraudulent account to the Credit Bureau to notify them it was a fraudulent account and I don't owe it. An apology would also be nice.
Complaint ***** who identified himself as a collection agent from G L Solutions called me and he said I owed $210.00 to The ********* ******* for web hosting. On Oct. 1st ***** called me and identified himself as a colection agent for ********* ******* and said I owed $210.00 for web hosting and he was going to turn me over to the credit bureau if I didn't pay it. I ask for the address to the web site so I could check it out and see if this was for real and I ask what I was supposed to be selling on this so called web site and if he had any documented written proof of my actually owing this $210.00 web hosting fee because I didn't believe I owed it. He said he didn't know the web address or what was sold and the only thing he knew was that I purchased the website on June, 6th 2012 and he said that ********* had attempted to collect this debt several times, I knew that was a lie as I had not heard anything about this debt until he called me that day. I ask for ********** number and he gave me (XXX)-XXX-XXXX so I called this number and got a answering machine and left my name and number for them to call me back about this web site hosting fee. I called ***** back and told him to also call or email and have them to call me back I asked the address, email etc but was not given. In the meantime I went to the web and found X-XXX-XXX-XXXX the tech support # and called and spoke to **** who told me I didn't have a account with them and they collect the hosting fees up front before they build the web site anyway so I couldn't owe it. It cost $19.99 a month but you can get 3 months etc. however long you wanted. The point is they collect this fee up front before the web site is ever built not over a year later from a collection agency. Later on ***** from ********* called me back and I ask him for the web site address to check it out and he wouldn't give it to me either. Then I ask him what was sold on it. He wouldn't tell me that either but said it was a home based business and I told him I didn't believe I owed money for web hosting and wanted some written proof and he got smart and talked over me and argued and said If I wasn't gonna pay it he would tell ***** to contact the credit bureau and ruin my credit. I told him that I had looked up ********* *** hosting and called the 800 # and spoke to **** who said I didn't even have a account with them and that people paid up front on their hosting fees anyway so I could not owe the $210.00. I called ***** back and told him what ***** said and what **** said and that I still didn't believe I owed the money. When my husband got home I explained what happened and he called ***** for clarification of the debt and told him we wanted something sent by mail or email to prove that I had agreed to pay this monthly hosting fee and he asked him why was the fee not charged to her credit card monthly or quarterly if she had agreed to pay it in June, 2010 as he was implying? He didn't answer that. Then ***** said it was in the fine print on the paperwork. Well, I never got any paperwork at all from ********* and have not signed anything agreeing to pay them any monthly hosting fees so I knew they were trying to defraud me out of money that I didn't owe and it was a scam. We asked him if this is a real debt then why did they let this go on so long before even contacting us about it why didn't someone call sooner and ***** wouldn't answer that question either and ***** finally admitted that the web site in question was about re-financing home mortgages but he claimed it was already cancelled and took down. We checked the web and found complaints from other people about being lied too and defrauded and this same problem happening to them too and we spoke on the phone with someone who was defrauded in this same manner by these exact same people just last week who was taken for even more money than they are attempting to take us for. This is a down right shame and ***** and ***** (if that's even their real names, which I doubt) are perpetrating fraud on innocent people and there needs to be a investigation done and this needs to be stopped.
Desired Settlement While talking to my husband ***** said that they had already charged my credit card $19.99 for this web site on June 6, 2012. After my husband got off the phone with ***** we discussed it and I remembered a telemarketer calling me on the phone about starting a home business dealing with mortgages a long time ago and them telling me if I would agree to pay a one time set up fee of $19.99 that their would never be any other fees associated with the Website, no maintinance fees or hosting fees ever because I specifically asked them about that up front while I had them on the phone and they said they would train me to use this website after it was built and I could send traffic to the site and they would pay me $ 5.00 a person who visited the site even if they didn't get their house re-mortgaged and $250.00 for each person who did. They did not call me back and inform me of what was going on or train me on using any web site either. I never even heard a word back from these telemarketers again and I never made a dime. This is a clear case of misrepresentation & Fraud and I want a refund on my money they charged $19.99 and a letter from them stating that I do not owe them $210.00 for any web hosting which I never agreed to pay and didn't even know was fraudilantly being charged to me until October 1, 2013 when I got the call from the collection agent at G L Solutions named ****** If they do contact my credit bureau and attempt to ruin my credit over this fraud as they have threatned to do then I will be forced to unite with others who I know have been defrauded by these same people in the same way too and pursue criminal charges against these scam artist.
Complaint GL Solutions called me twice to advise that I owed a debt; no notice in the mail received. To date, no information regarding this alleged debt. GL Solutions, supposedly a collection agency, called me twice, 9/10/2013 & 9/12/2013 regarding an alleged debt I owed. The return number is a cell phone in South Carolina. To date, I have not received anything in the mail from either GL Solutions or ********* ********* (the alleged company that I owe) so I can formally dispute the charge per Federal Trade Commission regulations. Only voice messages from an ***** and the cell phone belongs to a ******. No listing or address for GL Solutions. I believe this to be fraud.
Desired Settlement To stop calling me regarding these bogus collection attempts at a debt that I do not owe. This company needs to be stopped for practing fraudlent collection practices. All the information I have on this company is the phone number: (843)259-6387
