My Chimney Guys were very courteous and professional. I guess the third time is a charm. First I hired someone to clean our fireplace inserts. When they came- “Oh you have inserts. I don’t know what to do with them”. The walked out never to be seen again. The second was really rude and condescending. He gave me a price to clean with and without a chimney liner. He said cash only and no receipt without the liner; a receipt if there is a liner. He charged us for 2 with no liners. When we tried to take a picture of me paying him cash- proof I paid- he really got upset and left. He was going to charge me $3000.00 to line the upstairs chimney only. What he should have done was given a receipt with warning not to use them until repaired: which I would have respected. I called around and was recommended My Chimney Guys and was really nervous. What a very pleasant surprise! Not only did he make arrangements for the upstairs fireplace; he knew what to do with the other one too. Randy and his worker were so nice; polite; courteous and reasonably priced. All I could say was “What a difference!” Not only did he make our fireplaces operable; he proved with pictures that the downstairs liner was in place and proper. After the other jerk charged me for no liner! I wish we had Randy sooner as it would have saved me money and nerves. If anyone is thinking of a chimney cleaner do yourself a favor and go for the best first.
