I have never dealt with a management company as unprofessional as Continental Management. I called on behalf of my mother regarding her maintenance fee payment (she lives at ******* **** condominums). She was assessed a late fee because they received the check late. It was dated and sent prior to the 10-day requirement. However, they got it late because of an issue with the mail. The postmark date even showed when it was sent. When I spoke to them and emailed them asking for the late fee to be waived, they were unable to help and said they "can't cash a check they don't have." And that my mother will continue to get a late fee if this one isn't paid. My mother has NEVER been late with a payment in all the years she has lived there and has always complied with every request made by the management company to her. They could have easily waived this late fee as a one time courtesy because it was not her fault. She also can't control the mail. She has since rectified this issue and will have payments sent electronically going forward. I am a board member myself of a condo complex and have never in my life seen something like this. And to be spoken to in such a manner and hung up on is unacceptable. I would like the late fee waived and an apology issued. Sincerely, ******* ******
