2/16/2023 ****** was finishing up the painting job in the bathroom when he stood on my sink and broke it. Despite being given the measurement of the sink he brought back a bigger sink and advised that they don't make that size anymore as my bathroom was over 20 years old and it would have to be a custom build. I felt as I had no choice other than to allow the misfit top be used. Had I been told we could order the sink in the correct size I would have opted for this option and waited for it to arrive. ****** also then asked for a tip as he did not charge me for the sink that does not fit. My sink now sticks out a full 5 inches beyond the wall. I called him 2/17/2023 and told him I was not happy as this was not restored to what it was before he broke it. I also advised I found a vanity that fits my bathroom and it was not a custom order at Home Depot. ****** agreed to replace the vanity with one I picked out and told me to email it to him to order. I emailed one on 2/17/2023 that was priced at $399.00. Monday night 2/20/2023 I emailed again as the sink underneath has a bad smell coming from it since 2/16/2023 when he replaced the water line and drain stopper to fit the misfit sink top. ****** called me 2/21/2023 stating he doesn't know why it would stink and asked how much the vanity cost that I emailed. I advised $399.00 and he prompted told me he will not pay for it. I tried to ask if he would be willing to put it in if I purchased it but I was never able to voice my question as he cut me off stating he would not pay for it loudly and over my voice. I could not get one word in as he restated he was a grown man who will not be yelled at and will not lose money on a $2100.00 (plus $50 felt obligated tip) job.
