11/13/2015 I sent in my vitamix on October 20th. I was told it would take up to 15 days to be returned to me in brand new condition. After 17 days I called to check on my machine. I was told that it has been received, repaired, and then they forgot to ship it. I was told it would go out the next day! So today, over a week after the 1st call. I called back again. They told me that it still has not been shipped, they did know why it had not been shipped. Nor did they know when it finally would be shipped!!?? I made and froze enough baby food for 2 weeks, not a month. This is ridiculous. I used to tell everyone I know to buy a vitamix, not anymore!! This could not have happened at a worse time, sick baby eating store bought processed food, sick toddler that won't eat and asks every single day for his smoothie. :( so disappointed

Comment from the Business The customer contacted Vitamix customer service for a status of her repair on November 6, 2015. The customer was advised that the repaired machine had not been shipped back to her due to a logistical issue. The customer contacted Vitamix again on November 13, 2015 and was advised that the issue was still being resolved by the IT Department. As a result of the inconvenience, the customer was offered an extended warranty and was advised her Vitamix would ship as soon as the issue was resolved. As a gesture of good faith, Vitamix contacted the customer on November 16, 2015 and replaced the blender and extended the warranty on the replacement blender. The customer indicated that she was satisfied with this result. We anticipate these actions will resolve the matter. by on 11/18/2015

10/20/2015 Vitamix blenders are known for their strength but should be known for their dangers!!! our blender on film exsploded! throwing shrapnel and injuring my wife, blending only bananas and coconut. we attempted to resolve the issue with Vitamix who let us know that these things exsploding was actually a common problem. They asked we return our blender top and bottom and they would replace it in four days, that was August first it is now October 20th and they still have not returned it. We have called and asked emailed and have just been shuffled around lied to multiple times and even threatened. I wish there was more we could do but they have literally stolen our 600 dollar blender and will not be honest and tell us why they won't return it. This company is not to be trusted !!! This is not a one time occurrence. They hope you forget about it and keep your items. We have requested they just mail us our broken blender back , they keep claiming it wasn't received yet ups verified its delivery months ago as well as three of their employees who let us know that it was there and wondered why they haven't returned it yet and exsplounded to let us know that management was known for lying. The amount of money they have spent not resolving this has cost them way more than the 30 dollar plastic part. I am so upset with how they are handling this, this is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with and has not only cause serious injury but now tons of emotional stress. These blenders cost way more than they are worth, we have since bought a blendtec and are way more happy with it , it works better and holds more. Avoid Vitamix at all costs!!!! Very dangerous!

The customer contacted Vitamix customer service center about an incident involving alleged damage to a blender container and alleged personal injury. The customer sent Vitamix pictures of the alleged damage to the blender container but did not provide any pictures of an alleged injury. Vitamix received the customer’s blender, which was still in the warranty period. Vitamix performed an assessment and determined that the alleged damage the customer complained of was likely the result of something being blended that was non-organic. Nevertheless and as a gesture of good faith, Vitamix replaced the customer’s blender. The customer indicated that she was satisfied with this result.
