Complaint: On the morning of 11-9-11, I called and asked if they would honor a warranty repair on my Lenovo laptop. I gave the service writer the model nbr and serial nbr. I explained that my speakers were not working. He told me that they would cover it and that it would take 3 to 5 days. I took it to them on the same afternoon.After not hearing from them in 4 business days, i called them for a repair update. The technician told me that they were very busy & had not completed the repair. he did say that my speakers were shot. He said it may take another week, if they had to order parts. I told him okay and hung up. About 2 minutes later my phone rang. It was they same technician. He told me that he was new and made a mistake by tkaing my laptop. he said they do not repair consumer brands. He said that he could send it out for a fee & have it fixed. I told him that I was coming to get it.When I got there I asked to speak with a manager. He told me the same story. I asked him why it took seven days for someone to discover their error and then only after I made an inquiry on the phone. All he did was say he was sorry. Every time I opened my mouth, he was sorry.They tied up my laptop for 7 days and it would have been longer had I not called. Then they offered no type of reconciliation. They are advertised on the Lenovo website as an authorized repair center. There was no disclaimer saying it was for business ended customers. They have a walk in store and counter!This was customer service at its worst.

Desired Settlement: They should have offered to cover the repair as part of customer satisfaction. I wasted my time and gas and loss of my computer for seven days due to their lack of training and having no checks and balances in authorizing repairs. I now have to send it to the manufacturer which is going to tie it up another seven days or more & pay shipping on top of that.
