I called **** ***** for a double load of wood to be delivered to me sometime around November, apparently **** Mulch is affiliated with Hendel's Tree Service which delivered our wood...ever since the 1st day we used this wood we could never get it to burn without using starter woods (like *********) to keep the fire going..when the starter wood goes out the fire wood does not continue to burn..i thought of course no big deal sometimes there can be bad wood or unseasoned wood in a load, however, never since November have we ever been able to burn the wood. I spent $230.00 for the wood and now i have spent $150.00 or more on starter logs. When Jarod returned my call to discuss this the only thing he wanted to tell me was that he sold $50,000 worth of wood with no issues, which of course i believe but it did not make a difference in the fact my wood will not burn, the only thing he would do for me was to tell me i could come get kindling from him for free which costs him $90.00, (which of course we have already used kindling as well) and if he delivered it to me he would have to charge me a delivery fee.. With being born and raised in **** I wanted to support a local company when I found out they had firewood and just not mulch, so sad to find out that i was just small fry in his $50,000 worth of firewood he has sold, it took alot of me to even pick up the phone and call because i didn't want to be one of those people who complained..I would have hoped that Jarod would have had someone come and look at our wood to see if they saw any issues like he stated on the phone w/me (possibly Oak I think he said) or swapped out my wood for different (I wasn't looking for free firewood) very sad to have had this experience.
