|Customer Review Experience||Value|
|Positive Review||5 points per review|
|Neutral Review||3 points per review|
|Negative Review||1 point per review|

Complaint: Arco installed new roof and siding on September 2008. We lost several shingles in the past months and part of the siding is falling. I do consider that both not having even 4 years, should not be falling apart already. So I called the company for them to repair the roof. I've been leaving messages for maybe a month now or more, and they have not returned my calls at all. Now my ceiling has water damage, because of this situation. I do expect them to respond and take care of the roof and siding.
Desired Settlement: I need them to fix the roof and siding and maybe do something about the water damage we do have in the ceiling.
Business Response: To Whom it may Concern;
I have returned Mrs ** ** ***** calls several times, I have spoken with Mrs. ** ** ***** on two separate occasions about the damage to her home. The first time Mrs ** ** ***** and I spoke about the missing shingles I arrived the very next day to repair & inspect. We agreed that I would do the repairs for free but that she would leave shingles left from the original job outside next to her garage to ensure a closer match. Both times I arrived the shingles were not left out. I left her a message stating that we would not return until she confirmed the shingles were outside, which she never confirmed with me.
I was unaware of any siding damage until this notice nor did I notice any while out at her home. I did notice the damage to her shingles were wind related but did not see any immediate leak concerns. The issue has obviously got worse. When Mrs ** ** ***** and I spoke this afternoon she said it was a misunderstanding between us but she had already hired another company which was out there fixing the issues as we spoke. I am still willing to come out and repair any roof or siding issues even though it is storm related and out of warranty.
Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** *******, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I talked to Mr. Archer early this week. I just find so convenient that he finally returned my calls the day he received this complaint through the bureau. He claimed that he had not returned my calls, because he was out on vacation for two weeks. But I had been calling for over a month. It is true that we talked a couple of months ago and he told me that he would come to check out the roof. I never agreed with him to leave the shingles out. I understood that he would come and later let me know what was going to be done. After this misunderstanding, I called back and left a message letting him know that I would leave the shingles out for him to come and fix the roof. I left my shingles out for many weeks, and I kept calling Mr. Archer with no response. I must have left around ten messages. He never called back until this week.
When I noticed water damage on my ceiling. I decided to call someone else to fix the roof, because it was very clear that Mr. Archer was not interested in fixing the roof, and I did not want more water damage.
The roof and the siding are fixed now. Yes, Mr. Archer did not know about the siding, but that is not the point. I think Arco did a poor job in the begining.
I don't need anything from Mr. Archer now. I don't like the way he handled this situation. I decided to go with other company tho fix the problem, because of his lack of responsiveness and for the poor quality job that he does.
