My fiancé and myself purchased a new build through **** Homes and moved in July 2021. The property is a 0.5 acre lot with a decent size back yard and a walkout (unfinished). We decided we wanted to get a patio poured. My mind immediately shifted to Nick B*** and his team, as they have done great work for me before. That will be the last time I EVER use or recommend Nick and his services/products ever again. His team completed the project and left my home without talking to me. I got home to a BRUTAL and very sloppy broom finish. Lines aren’t straight, areas are flat/slippery. All around bad work. I immediately texted Nick my concerns and he came out to look at it and discuss. As soon as he got to my home he assured me he would make it right. Said the reason his team struggled with it was because “the concrete they got had too much air in it”. To be clear, I don’t care what happened that got us to a horrible product, my thoughts was I am paying you $12,500 for this… so do it right. Nick assured me him and his team would be back out to make it look good. To which I immediately said in my mind “okay it’ll be interesting to see how he will fix dry concrete work”. We shook hands, and on the way to his truck he turned around and said “hey man it’s payroll week, any chance you could write me a check for $5,000 and get me the rest once we get it looking right?” I felt like it was an appropriate ask at the time, as most of the work was done… as I was writing the check, he said, “you mind making it 7?”, to which I did. That was the last time I ever heard from Nick. I’ve texted him a few times but ultimately gave up. Horrible work, followed by horrible customer service. It will be the LAST time he is ever used by my friends and family.
