In September last week, I hired Pete's Professional Services to replace insulation in my attic. They completed the job on 9/27/22 but I noticed a damage in my master bedroom ceiling and I informed Pete about it. They billed me $14,225 on 10/4/22. I texted him again on 10/6/22 asking how he plans to take care of the damage and informed him about a couple of can lights that also needed some adjustment after the job. He told me that he will come in the weekend to look at the problems and see what needs to be done. We setup a time and he was a no-show. I reminded him again on 10/11. We scheduled it again for the following weekend but he was a no-show again. I reminded him again on 10/19. He finally came on 10/20. I met him and he told me that he will take care of the problem himself. He also explained that this happens and if he can't fix it, he will ask his painter to come and fix. He said that I can hold the payment till it is fixed. I didn't hear from him until 11/2 and on 11/3, he scheduled the job for 11/3. He was a no-show on 11/3 as well. We rescheduled it for the weekend and he was again a no-show. He finally came on 11/8 and try to fix the crack. I informed him the same day that the crack is still very visible and sent him the picture as well. His first response was that he will have to send his painter to come in, patch and paint the ceiling. I said okay. Then he sent me a text that the painter can't come till February and I should go ahead and keep his money. He said he will write it off. Then later he informed me that he will file a lien on my home. I have no intent of not paying him for the work as long as he takes care of the problem but he seems to have no interest in addressing the problem.
