This review is about a job that *** **** aka Affordable 24/7 Services did back in 2019 and it's regarding a water heater they installed in one of my properties in Hamilton, OH. I found them on the **** ** Hamilton Registered Contractors page ************************************************************************************************************** The Master Registration Plumber is Frederick H*******. The phone and email address take you to *** ****. I don't know if Frederick is an owner or employee and whether or not he's still the Master Plumber. The invoice for their work was $1,496.26 which included the permit fee, water heater and installation. Shame on me for not inspecting their work, but I wouldn't have known what I was looking at anyway. Fast forward to a couple months ago. My tenant had a problem with the utilities bill and they were turned off for non-payment. When they caught up and expected them to be turned back on, the **** ** Hamilton said "Hold on, we see a water heater installation that never got a final inspection"! *** **** called Affordable and let them know that because of the delay, a new permit would have to be pulled followed by the final inspection. Whoever answered the phone told them that the plumber that did that job was no longer with the company and that they'd have to find a different contractor. The City called me and let me know they weren't going to help, so I started calling plumbers on the registered contractor list, thinking the job would be $200-$300 for a permit + trip charge. Found one that went out and inspected the job. They called me and said they knew why a final inspection was never made. The job would have never passed because the installation was not up to code, and the Affordable plumber knew it! Tenant continued to scream for utilities so I pulled the trigger and it cost me another $1,020 and it passed inspection. Now Affordable won't return calls or emails. Looks like I'm going to small claims. Avoid these guys.
