Complaint: Bill told me he would use Sherwin Williams Duration paint but he used A100, a Sherwin Williams paint 3 levels below the Duration, for the main color. When I called him about it, he told me he was unable to get the color I wanted in the Duration line. I went to a neighborhood Sherwin Williams store and was told they would be able to get 45 gallons in the requested color within a few hours. He didn't use the Duration brand for the door or window trim either. The price difference between grades is $25 per gallon. I feel he was deceitful because his first response when I questioned him was that the proposal didn't say which grade of paint he would use, which is true, but I expected him to be honest. It is a shame because the house looks great and I'm really pleased with his ability to get the job done quickly, but I would not recommend him in the future because of his dishonesty.

Desired Settlement: I would like him to rectify the situation by refunding the difference between the different grades of paints. If that isn't going to happen, I would at least like his potential customers to know that if you expect him to do something, make sure it is stated on his proposal.

Consumer Response:

5/14/13 Customer contacted BBB and stated that they have been working with the business and the complaint has been resolved.
