Problems with Product/Service

Complaint: We had the clutch replaced and subsequently the car began leaking transmission fluid. When we took the car back to J's the transmission had a large crack in it. They told us they couldn't have done it, so we got a second opinion and were told that the only way such a crack could have happened would have been for the transmission to be dropped.
Desired Settlement: We would like them to admit that they dropped our transmission and either fix it or pay to get it fixed.
Business Response: the customer brought the car back 3 week later and said was leaking ?? why wait so long ? if it was and issue we cause and it is not from anything we did or from the service we provided . they have a crack in the case up high on the sid of the trans and the cove was damaged i think the son hit something and didn't tell them i told the father this he not happy and told us to take car off rack and they would take it .i have not got any other calls in regards to this issue ?? i even kept the car an extra day to make sure all repairs were done right and they were the car stayed on the lift over night no leaks ..had i felt i damaged any thing on the car i would have fixed before the customer picked the car up that's just the right thing to do. customer service is our number one focus along with the repair being done right the first time
Better Business Bureau:
We questioned our son, who is 21, about the speculation that he'd hit something and he assured us that he had not. We are attaching a second opinion and a picture of the damage from another shop that confirms that there is no surrounding damage and it would have been impossible for him to have done this kind of damage to the case without doing damage elsewhere on the car.
I followed up with a phone call and left a voice message after my son took the car back to be looked at by J's, but it was never returned. They made it clear when he took the car to them that they weren't going to take responsibility for this damage. We are confident that the damage occured while J's was replacing the clutch and would like them to pay for the repair.
