This morning I stopped at the Fairfield location of Custom Distributors Inc to actually just place an order for an under microwave, either ***** or ******* *** brand. I was immediately chastised with the fact that it was going to be at least 4 months for a microwave to come in and that I needed an appointment. After being taken about for a second from this "rude" approach, I explained that I wasn't expecting instant gratification and being an informed shopper I certainly understand the supply delays that are currently going on...I said that my contractor had sent me in....*****, the representative that was the individual I was dealing with, grunted back at me....I wish those contractors would inform "you people" that appointments were needed. Now if you look at the Custom Distributors website there is no indication that an appointment is needed. ***** then proceeded to show me a ***** microwave and told me that ***** makes all microwaves for ***** and ******* *** and the labels are just changed...at that point I told ***** I was going to go somewhere else that I didn't appreciate the "bitchy" tone that was being disseminated towards me, this is certainly not the type of customer service that anyone working and/or greeting customers coming in the front should be displaying. I'm sure ***** and ******* *** would not like that sales approach either. Times are tough and I can appreciate that everyone is at high alert, but totally unnecessary. Poor presentation for the front...***** should reconsider and re-evaluate customer intereraction.
