Dennis Ontaneda of Combined Insurance’s Worksite Solutions Division To Receive Better Business Bureau Torchbearer Award

Chicago, IL – March 18, 2014 – Dennis Ontaneda will receive the Torchbearer Award from the Better Business Bureau serving Chicago and Northern Illinois (BBB) at the group’s 87th Annual Dinner Meeting on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at the Chicago Downtown Marriot. The award is presented to a business leader who has made significant efforts, with demonstrable results, to promote ethical business practices and assist the BBB in spreading the concept of business self-regulation.

Bernas, president & CEO of the Better Business Bureau serving Chicago and Northern Illinois. “He is a long-time member of our board of directors who has shown consistent and dedicated support of our organization. His ongoing efforts help us educate both consumers and businesses about the importance of an ethical marketplace.”  

Ontaneda is Vice President, U.S. Sales Administration, for Combined Worksite Solutions,a division of Combined Insurance. He has held this title since 2006. Combined Insurance, an ACE Group Company, is located in Glenview, Ill., and is a leading provider of supplemental, accident, disability, health and life insurance. Before being named Vice President Ontaneda was Director of U.S. Sales Operations at the company. He obtained his bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and his MBA at Olivet Nazarene University.


As a private,non-profit organization, the purpose of the Better Business Bureau is to promote an ethical marketplace. BBBs help resolve buyer/seller complaints by means of conciliation, mediation and arbitration. BBBs also review advertising claims, online business practices and charitable organizations. BBBs develop and issue reports on businesses and nonprofit organizations and encourage people to check out a company or charity before making a purchase or donation.
