This has been an ongoing complaint. I contracted with ***************** for replacement windows and doors at my residence on 30 June 2020. The total amount was $8437 and a deposit of $4937 was paid to cover the cost of materials. The balance of $3500 was to be paid upon completion. After a longer than expected delay, the window replacement was completed on 17 September 2020 but the door was not ordered properly. At **************** suggestion we agreed that I would hold back $800 until the storm door was installed. So I paid $2700 of the final $3500. While I was out of town North Shore removed my existing storm door and disposed of it in anticipation of the new door being installed soon. However, after numerous unsuccessful attempts on my part to ascertain the source of the delay over more than a two year period, I still do not have my new storm door and, in fact have no door at all. This is now three ******* with no storm door. My calls, texts and emails to ************** are a mixture of excuses and apologies but the vast majority inquiries go unanswered. I would appreciate any assistance the BBB can offer in resolving this issue. As per the original contract, I need the storm door to be installed as soon as possible. It is extremely cold in that part of the house. Last winter my boots placed near the door actually froze to the rubber mat on which they were sitting. I have the signed contract and cancelled checks but the contract has no number on it.

Our job was supposed to be completed today by North Shore Window and Door but the owner canceled last minute and acted unprofessionally. He made some inappropriate implications about me and when I called him to clarify he was struggling to manage his anger. He was screaming at the top of his lungs and swore at me. To the point where I would be afraid to let him in my house. My instincts are that his guys refused to do a small job and he was upset about it but he was not able to remain professional to manage his anger and absolutely lost it. I wanted to share a cautionary tale if you have a small job you may want to take your business elsewhere.
