ULB was installing some drain tiles to alleviate a water seepage issue. In the course of that work a cracked sewer pipe was discovered. I was told that if the cracked pipe wasn't fixed they wouldn't warranty their work. I somewhat felt pressured to have them complete the work as a result of that. The price quoted seemed extremely high for the work involved. My mistake was not halting the work and getting estimates to handle the newly required work. I feel they charged me for work that was part of the original job. They kept telling me that's the way it's in their system. To me that wasn't relevant. I was given a slight discount to the quote but I still felt I was being overcharged and being taken advantage of. I got several estimates after the fact to see if that were the case and most came in 40%-50% below what I paid. To be fair one estimate did come in with what they charged but that was only one and was the exception. Not once in the course of several discussions did they suggest I should get other estimates if I felt the cost was high. So I'm left paying a high cost for something that literally took 2 hours of work and relatively cheap materials. I'm very disappointed in the experience because the cost of the drain tiles was reasonable and just had a feeling this was a way to boost their profits. So, if some additional work comes up on one of their jobs be sure to halt the work and get other estimates for the work and don't feel locked into them for that.

ULB-Dry is a top-notch company. Their salesperson came to our house 3 times over 6 months at no charge as we started planning our basement renovation. He was very friendly, gave us options, and explained everything. Because we finally started the renovations, ULB was able to schedule our waterproofing the next day so that our contractor wasn't delayed. ULB's installers were very professional and friendly.
