I was scheduled to sit for an **** exams today, 11/20/23. On arrival at the testing center, i was not allowed to sit for the exams because i do not have a valid international passport. I was told i have to present a document that reflects my country of birth which i filled out when i submit form for the **** exam as *******. I was in possession of both my driver's license and work authorization card, both which were valid and government issued. but i was told that the work authorization card was not acceptable as a form of verification of my country of birth. This is a policy that does not feel reasonable since the work authorization card is issued by US government, it has my name, recent photography of me and my country of birth. This card together with my valid ***** issued driver's license should be an acceptable form of verification. I don't have a valid international passport because my old passport expired years ago and i have not been ******* to renew it.I am therefore requesting that i should be allowed to rescheduled to take the exam at no fee cost. While i was still at the testing center today, i contacted your customer care service department for resolution of the issue and was told that i will have to wait 24 hours for a resolution. This implies i would not be able able to take the exam today as schedule. The representative at the testing center opened a case number for me (Case#********). If they are unable to do this, I request they refund my full application fee of $275.00 paid. It is wrong for the company not to accept a Goverment issued form of identification. Not everyone has an international passport and since I possess a valid *********** issued ID card and also a Goverment issued work authorization, there shouldnt be any reason why I should not be allowed to sit for the exam. Their action has costed me admission into my graduate school for this semester and I now have to apply again. Aside from this being time wasted, it is financially stressful as well.
