For no good reason, ** has blocked nearly any type of access to its site behind login walls. Furthermore unless you have a corporate email address and want to tell them who you work for (so that they can track what youre looking at on their website and do who know what with it), they wont let you use your account. I am a licensed electrician. I need to be able to use ** from time to time to verify for example that a particular manufacturer making a claim that its product is listed is actually legitimate. Theres no good reason for ** to block my access just because ** using a personal email address. Even if I was a homeowner who didnt know anything, it would be in the interest of safety for me to be able to log into an account and check on things like whether something a contractor is installing in my house is actually legitimate or if its just something from ***** with a ** sticker on it. Or, even if I was a homeowner it would be within my right to look at something like the ** White book to see if the contractor is properly installing stuff in my house. So I am an electrician but theres no good reason at all to have this level of restriction on data even if I wasnt. ** gets all kinds of money off of listing products and its only right by the public that it would allow the public to verify legitimacy of manufactures without exposing who they work for or whether or not theyre really a industry professional.
