I have been living in an Urban Equities property for 3 years. I decided not to resign my lease this year and moved out April 30. I took pictures of the apartment upon me leaving which are ************* stamped. I went to meet with the maintenance person for a final walk through a few days later but he was unavailable at the time he stated he would be and told me it was okay to leave the keys in the apartment. A few days later I received a disposition letter stating that I owe ***** to stain and sand wood floors. I was also told I owe another $2000 in cleaning fees. When I moved into the apartment there was no deposit required and I believe this is a way for them to get money from me. I truly believe they are doing this because of my profession and they just want to get as much money from me as possible. I have my own pictures of the apartment and a copy of the pictures the maintenance person took without me. One of the pictures taken is suspicious to me and I do not believe it is my apartment. I called the leasing office regarding the issue but they did not seem to care and they sent me a copy of their photos and I sent them mines. I have not received a response from them since sending my photos. Dini is from the leasing office and she told me I could do a walk through after the fact but repairs were done already so it would be changed. As I stated earlier I lived in the apartment for 3 years so of course it has the usual wear and tear but nothing to the extreme. I also still have copies of all my leases signed with this place.
